Commercial trainee programme for business college graduates.

Have you graduated from a business college and are now looking to embark on a career with good prospects? Are you fascinated by construction sites and eager to learn about commercial processes in a technical environment? Are you outgoing, prepared to learn and open to seeing new places?

If so, then our twelve-month aufBAU BusinessJunior programme is the perfect choice for you. This programme prepares business college graduates for future employment as junior construction commercial clerks on construction sites.

Requirements.

We’re looking for enthusiastic school leavers and college graduates who love working with numbers, are keen to work on construction sites and want to learn something new every day. Applicants must have completed business training at a school-leaving level and received a graduation certificate from a suitable college (HAK, HBLA, HLW, etc.).

Candidates should have some work experience, either acquired after school or gained through one or more internships. You should be able to demonstrate an open and outgoing personality, a proactive and dependable attitude towards your work and well-developed analytical thinking skills. Ideally, applicants will be flexible, willing to travel and prepared to work on projects all over Austria.

Building Future.

A technical trainee programme for technical college (HTL/FH/TU) graduates.

Have you graduated from a university of applied sciences, vocational education and training institution or technical college and are now looking to embark on a career with good prospects? Would you like to expand your theoretical knowledge with some practical experience and help to shape the construction sites of the future?

Our eight-month Building Future programme offers a varied experience with a technical focus. Trainees will acquire specialist knowledge they can apply in a future role as a construction site engineer on a building site. This will lay a solid foundation for a long-term career in the sector.

On completion of the programme, trainees will be employed as construction site engineers on construction sites around the nation, and begin to take on increasing responsibilities. Opportunities will follow to work on both national and international projects and eventually seek promotion to the position of site supervisor.

Requirements.

We’re looking for dedicated graduates from technical colleges, universities of applied sciences or vocational education and training colleges with technical qualifications in the area of building construction. In addition, applicants should already have some professional experience or have completed at least one internship in the industry.

Successful applicants will be flexible and willing and able to travel with a view to working on projects right across Austria and, in the future, internationally. Candidates must demonstrate a reliable and proactive attitude towards their work, an interest in the construction sites of the future, and an open and sociable personality.

PORR trainee programmes: application and selection.

We make a long-term investment in our trainees. We want to make sure we are the right fit for each other, so our selection process comprises several stages. 
 
Step 1 . Pre-selection based on application documents
Step 2 . Telephone interview
Step 3 . In-person interview
Step 4 . Second interview

PORR trainee programmes begin in September each year. Application and selection processes start in the spring. Specific position descriptions can be found on the PORR job exchange.
 
Please submit your application online. You will also need to upload a detailed cover letter, a CV in table form and any relevant graduation certificates and references.

Trainee reports.

Around 50 candidates have graduated from PORR’s commercial and technical trainee programmes since September 2013. These individuals are now employed by the company as building construction commercial clerks or construction engineers.
