748 new parking spaces for St. Pölten Station
The car park is right next to St. Pölten Central Station, with direct access to platform 1. The five-storey building, built using a split-level method, has a length of 170m, a width of 28m and offers 748 new parking spaces.
The car park was built by PORR Bau GmbH (Lower Austria branch office and Railway Construction department). A total of 16,000m³ concrete and 1,900t steel reinforcement was used. To shape the concrete, around 40,000m² of ceiling, wall and column formwork was built and then later dismantled.
The entire formwork and concrete works were carried out by PORR’s own staff, allowing the value creation to remain within the Group itself.
Every floor of the St. Poelten Car Park is lit up in a different colour.
