PORR to build production hall in Munich for new-generation e-vehicles

Vienna, 13.12.2022 – PORR has been awarded the contract for the deconstruction and new build of parts of the BMW Group plant in Munich. This will take place under particularly challenging conditions: Vehicle production and all the plant logistics will be ongoing as an existing production hall is removed metre by metre and a new one is built. Completion is planned for 2026.

One step closer to a circular economy

Vienna, 20.7.2022 – 400,000 tonnes of construction waste were given a new lease of life at the Himberg Recycling Centre (RCH) last year. Bricks are turned into brick chippings, which are later used for greening roofs. Concrete becomes recycled concrete. Now a new processing plant has been introduced at RCH: Solving a familiar problem of sending mineral wool waste to landfill.
