Campus Gertrude Fröhlich-Sandner

In the framework of this project, an all-day elementary school and a kindergarten with a total floor space of 14,000m² were built in Vienna’s Rudolf-Bednar-Park. Up to 420 elementary school pupils receive education in Campus Gertrude Fröhlich-Sandner’s 17 school classes. The kindergarten provides space for eleven groups consisting of a total of approx. 250 children.

When it came to the call for tenders for the implementation and operation of this facility in the form of a public-private partnership with the City of Vienna, the consortium consisting of STRAUSS & PARTNER Development and Bank Austria Real Invest GmbH convinced with a tailored all-inclusive package ranging from financing, implementation and energy management to ongoing operation and maintenance.

The education campus with its state-of-the-art equipment could be put into operation after a construction time of a mere 15 months. Today, it not only offers an ideal environment for school and kindergarten children but also a modern work place for some 80 pedagogical employees.
